About this programme

Building Character. Shaping Men. Preparing for Life.

Growing into a man is not easy. Getting older does not guarantee growth. It requires learning to take responsibility for yourself, developing the discipline to do what is right even when it is difficult, discovering your strengths, managing your emotions and choices, respecting others, and beginning to understand the kind of man you want to become. The Boys' Mentorship Camp is a three-day residential mentorship experience for young men aged 16 to 19 years, bringing together guided conversations, practical activities, mentorship, reflection, teamwork and purposeful interaction.

Key Questions

  • What kind of man are you becoming?

  • What does it mean to be a gentleman?

  • What does responsibility look like?

  • How do you develop self-control?

  • How do you build habits that strengthen rather than weaken you?

  • How do you handle pressure, failure, temptation and difficult decisions?

  • What kind of career could you build?

  • What values will guide your decisions?

  • What kind of man do you want to become?

  • Building the gentleman

The experience introduces participants to the values and behaviours associated with becoming a gentleman, respect, courtesy, responsibility, integrity, self-control, consideration for others, personal presentation and the ability to conduct oneself with dignity. Participants will also explore the deeper foundations of responsible manhood:

  • Character

  • Responsibility

  • Courage

  • Discipline

  • Integrity

  • Emotional maturity

  • Self-respect

  • Respect for others

  • Accountability

  • Service

  • Purpose

  • Preparing for the future

The camp goes beyond character development. Participants will begin exploring career possibilities, personal strengths, work ethic, entrepreneurship, financial thinking, goal setting and the habits required to build a meaningful future. Come ready to think, learn, participate, reflect and begin building the man you want to become.

What participants gain

Six areas of growth, worked through in real situations rather than lectures.

  • Character & Integrity

Doing the right thing when nobody is watching, and understanding why it matters more than talent.

  • Discipline & Self-Control

Habits, willpower and the daily choices that quietly decide who a young man becomes.

  • Confidence & Emotional Maturity

Naming emotions, handling pressure and speaking up without aggression or fear.

  • Leadership & Communication

Listening well, speaking clearly and carrying responsibility for a team.

  • Career & Entrepreneurship

Exploring work, money and enterprise with practical, Zambian examples.

  • Purpose & Personal Vision

Writing a personal code and a plan for the year ahead.

Practical activities

Experiences, not lessons. Every session puts participants on their feet.

  • Signature

    The Willpower Challenge

A tested exercise in delayed gratification, focus and keeping your word to yourself.

  • Career Discovery Lab

Hands-on exploration of real careers, skills and the routes into them.

  • Money + Entrepreneurship

Earning, saving and building something small from an idea.

  • The Man in the Mirror

An honest, guided self-assessment that ends with a personal code.

  • Young Men Speak

Every participant stands up and speaks — clearly, calmly, in front of peers.

  • Team Challenge

Outdoor problem-solving where leadership has to be earned, not claimed.

The challenge board

Six standards every participant is measured against — by himself, first.

  • 01

    Teamwork

Carry your share, and then some.

  • 02

    Discipline

Finish what you started, on time.

  • 03

    Leadership

Take responsibility before you take credit.

  • 04

    Communication

    Say it clearly. Listen properly.

  • 05

    Entrepreneurship

Turn an idea into something real.

  • 06

    Character

Be the same person in every room.

Boys become men through responsibility, not age.
